Jennie Geddes - BACP Accredited Counsellor & Supervisor

Jennie Geddes

I qualified as a counsellor in 2000, starting with a firm base in person-centred practice. Since then I have developed my work to integrate trauma theory, Motivational Interviewing and a Human Rights approach.  I have experience in supporting people through long- and short-term therapy contracts, with experience in areas including: personal growth, trans-cultural work, anxiety, recovery from abuse, relationship issues, CPTSD and PTSD.

I qualified as a supervisor, completing my training at the Metanoia Institute in 2008. I offer clinical supervision to student counsellors, experienced counsellors, groups and other workers in the statutory and voluntary sectors. I have 28 years’ experience of working in the support and voluntary sector in management and as a practitioner.

I am passionate about working with people and supporting people to grow and manage their lives in an ever-changing and ever-challenging world.
