Are you looking for help with anxiety, depression, grief, loss, difficulties with family relationships, parenting, caring responsibilities or work-related stress? Life can be challenging and working with a counsellor can often be what’s needed, when we feel we can’t cope. I work in a person-centred way, where you can talk about your problems in a safe and accepting environment.  I believe that you ultimately know what is best for you, but at the moment it is hard or even impossible for you to find the way forward. I won’t judge you or give advice. What I provide is the time and space to work with you on your difficulties and worries, to enable you to better understand why you feel the way you do, and to use that knowledge to make positive changes, at your own pace.

I draw on my professional training, work, family life and my own personal experience of what brings many of us to counselling, to help with all the issues I mention above and more. I have particular experience of working with loss and bereavement and as well as running my own practice, I counsel in a dedicated Bereavement Service.

My practice is based here, in the light, airy offices of the Ullet Road Eco Centre, Liverpool 17. I understand how much courage it takes to make that first step in reaching out for help. You can contact me by phone, text or by email to set-up an initial appointment and I will respond as soon as I can. I offer day-time and evening appointments, and a limited amount of Saturday sessions are available too.
